The funeral service for Nadovah Smith Ramsay, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Christian Faith Church with Rev. Ron Kirkland officiating, and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at West Bainbridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Ramsay was born Jan. 28, 1919 in Elba, Ala., the daughter of Milledge Jerome Smith and Willie Daisy Ingram Smith. She died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Fla.
She was a member of the Christian Faith Church and was as a seamstress for Jack Winter, Inc. for many years.
Mrs. Ramsay was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Ramsay; and her grandchildren, Robert Armand Griffin and Michaelyn Mattair Ramsay.
Survivors include her son, Michael C. Ramsay and his wife, Kathy, of Bonifay; her daughter Lou R. Jarvey and her husband, Bruce, of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Michael C. Ramsay, Jr., Amy Ramsay Cartright, Sarah Ramsay, Luke Ramsay and Matthew Griffin; her great-grandchildren, Dylan Ramsay, Kaitlyn Ramsay, Jesse Griffin, Michelle G. Jenkins, Zoey Stevens, Morgan Cartright, and Tyler Cartright; and her great-great-granddaughter, Reagan Griffin.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Ivey Funeral Home.
