• True Wisdom New Hope Ministries — This new church, which is being started in the Bainbridge community, will hold weekly Bible studies on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at the YMCA Children’s Building located behind the Y. The speaker is Elder Barry Nicholson. Overseer is Bishop James Lorenzo Rutledge.
• Pine Hill M.B. Church — The church, located at 1048 Pine Hill Church Road, will celebrate its 145th anniversary on Aug. 5, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kelvin Wells, pastor of Christ Tabernacle Church delivering the message.
• Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church — The church, located in Vada, will host the monthly social of the Young at Heart on Friday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. For further information, contact Deborah Bennett at (229) 246-7282 or Vonnie Hatcher at (229) 336-1828.
• Elizabeth A.M.E. Church — The church, located in Chattahoochee, Fla., is planning three days of services to celebrate Pastor Rev. Leonard Davis’ third year anniversary. They are seeking guest pastors and congregations to participate on Aug. 9, Aug. 10 and Aug. 12. Thursday and Friday services will be at 7 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). • Disciples of Jesus Ministries — The church, located at 1630 Bethel Road, will observe the Usher’s Anniversary on Aug. 9-10 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Williams, of Thomasville, Ga., as guest speaker on Aug. 9, and Pastor Leonard Cooper, of Iron City, Ga., on Aug. 10, concluding Aug. 11, at 11:30 a.m., with Evangelist Mildred Bundage of Pensacola, Fla.
• St. Stephens A.M.E. Church — The church, located 1091 Hutchinson Ferry Road, will hold the annual church revival on Aug. 16 and Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Beverly Griffin of Emanuel M.E. Church, in Dixie, Ga. leading the services.
• Attapulgus Baptist Church — The church, located behind the post office in Attapulgus, will celebrate its 84th annual homecoming services on Sunday, Aug. 19, beginning at 10:45 a.m., with Rev. Pleas Vause as guest speaker for the morning worship, and Mr. Keith Medley as worship and song leader. There will be special music and a covered dish luncheon follows the service.
• Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church — The church, located at 1810 S. West St., will observe the annual Men and Women Day, on Aug. 26, at 11:15 a.m.
