Charles “Chuck” Hartzog, 57, of Brinson, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Noland Hospital in Dothan, Ala.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Attapulgus Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ray Dawson and Rev. Roy Matthews officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, at Ivey Funeral Home.
Chuck was born Aug. 11, 1955, in Bainbridge, the son of Walter H. Hartzog and Alma Lois Smith Hartzog. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1974, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Chuck was a truck driver for Walmart #6854 and was a member of Attapulgus Baptist Church.
Mr. Hartzog was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin T. Hartzog; and his sister, Sandra H. Beasley.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Jean Hartzog of Brinson; his daughter, Jessica Blocker Barwick of Attapulgus; his brother, Freddie Hartzog and his wife, Susie, of Bainbridge; his sisters, Cynthia Cowan of Brinson, June Heard and her husband, Gene, of Bainbridge, and Lina Bradley of Dothan; and several nephews and nieces.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
