YMCA fitness programs coming

A number of new health and fitness programs implemented by YMCA fitness director Kathy Bell will get underway soon.
There will be Early Bird Basic Training sessions from 5:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday and Noon Hour Body Blasts from noon to 1 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
“Our Early Bird sessions will be a circuit training that gives you cardio, endurance, strength, core and a little bit more before your first cup of coffee,” Bell said.
“Our noon hour Body Blast sessions challenges all levels of fitness and beyond. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, January 15 there will be a four week session on youth sports specific agility plyometric training for fourth through 12th grade athletes or upcoming athletes.
The cost will be $15 for YMCA members and $30 for non members.
Pre registration is required for all classes. Fees can be obtained by visiting the YMCA’s front desk.
