Congratulations to Ashley Waddell, the Bainbridge High School student who was selected as the Daughters of the American Revolution’s “Good Citizen” award winner for 2013.
Waddell, the daughter of Dee and Greg Waddell of Bainbridge, was one of three students who were nominated by the BHS faculty. Then, she was the top student among those three in a vote of her classroom peers. Students are nominated for the award based on the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
BHS Principal Tommie Howell said the DAR award is one of the most prestigious given out to a high-school senior. Each winner’s name is immortalized on a plaque that hangs in the BHS front hall.
Congratulations to Ashley Waddell for her well-deserved award.
