State superintendent to speak at teachers’ retirement banquet

The Decatur County Board of Education, in conjunction with the Decatur County Association of Educators and the Georgia Association of Educators, will recognize the county school system’s retirees with a special banquet held in their honor.
This year, there are 14 retirees in the system, and they will be honored at the banquet Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. in the Bainbridge Bearcat Café at Bainbridge High School. This year, the special guest speaker will be Dr. John Barge, the Georgia state school superintendent.
