Rudy and Beverly Nichols of Donalsonville, Ga., and Susan Bailey, of Bainbridge, announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Nichols, to Steven Olds, the son of Jeff and Carolyn Thompson of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John and Emma Lou White of Bainbridge, of Alicia Nichols of McAllen, Texas, and the late Locho Nichols.

Miss Nichols is a 2002 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is attending Thomas University, where she is completing study for a bachelor’s in biology. She is the owner of Graceland of Thomasville.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Troy and Sara Long of Bainbridge and of Nell and the late Winford Olds of Bainbridge.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1997. He is employed by Lindsey Construction.

The wedding is planned for June 8, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. The reception will be at the Bon Air. Invitations will be sent, but all friends and family are invited to attend.
