Mrs. Martha Pearl Cook, 67, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. Services for Mrs. Cook will be Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bainbridge. The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

Martha Pearl Vickers was born Oct. 31, 1945, in Winter Haven, Fla., to William Hatcher Vickers and Eunice Pearl Smith Vickers. She married Ted Cook Sr., who preceded her in death after 35 years of marriage.

Mrs. Cook was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a good hearted person; who cared about everyone. Pearl will be sorely missed by the family and friends she loved so deeply.

Surviving Mrs. Cook are her children, William Adrian Adams of Bainbridge, Zack Adams of Jacksonville, Fla., Bryan Keith Adams and wife, Tina Denise Adams, of Bainbridge, and Scott Dewayne Adams and wife, Christy Lynn Adams, also of Bainbridge; stepson, Ted E. Cook, Jr. of Panama City, Fla.; siblings, Edna Davis, Alicia Gail Hadley, William Earl Vickers, Sharon Harrell, Elizabeth Snellgrove, Betty Frances McClendon, Bobby Vickers, Doug Vickers, Harold Vickers and Jackie Vickers; grandchildren, Jessica Peed and husband, Gary, Ashley Blake Adams, Lauren Brooke Adams, Ryan Keith Adams, Bailey Parker, Zackary A. Adams, Josh Glover, Garrett Glover, and Kendall Levi Glover; and a great-grandchild, Collins Leigh Peed.
