Myree Logue, 88, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Salem Baptist Church with Stanley Mobley and Rev. John Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as active pallbearers. The men of Salem Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, c/o Stanley Mobley, 154 Hirams Lane, Whigham, GA 39897.
Mrs. Logue was born April 28, 1925 in Cairo, Ga., the daughter of Grover Austin Griner and Mary Elizabeth Davis Griner.
She was a graduate of Cairo High School, Class of 1942. Mrs. Logue was a seamstress and retired from Bainbridge State Hospital.
She was a dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hershel A. Logue; her son, Dewayne Logue; and her siblings, Robert Griner, Doyle Griner, and Bill Griner. Survivors include her children, Peggy L. Davis and her husband, Curtis, of Newnan, Ga., Dennis Logue and his wife, Debbie, of Climax, Talbert Logue and his wife, Kathi of Thomson, Ga., and Randel Logue and his wife, Faye, of Climax; her daughter-in-law, Judy Logue of Bainbridge; her sisters, Jerry Miller of Recovery, Ga. and Naomi Wade and her husband, Donald, of Thomasville; her 12 grandchildren; and her 15 great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
