Decatur County needs a reliable EMS system

After the three-day review from the Georgia EMS team last week, it’s safe to say Decatur County is in major need of a restructuring of its current EMS system, or a completely new one.
People’s lives are in danger on a daily basis and they need emergency help that is efficient and reliable.
It doesn’t do someone who is suffering a heart attack any good if an ambulance breaks down during the call. It hurts the effectiveness of a system when leadership is questioned and there is a lack of appreciation among workers for each other.
These are all issues happening within the current Decatur County EMS system. If they aren’t tackled and solved soon by the Decatur County Board of Commissioners, then there is no telling the amount of trouble the county will face.
The current EMS system is already a major liability that is making Decatur County appear less adequate. Serious change needs to occur for the sake of all its residents
