Bainbridge bowlers knock down pins, bowling center hosts specials this summer

Eleven youth bowlers from Decatur County competed in the Georgia State USBC 48th Annual Handicap Tournament in Lawrenceville and Snellville May 24-25. There were more than 760 kids from throughout the state who bowled at the event.
The top male bowler was Gino Pallotti and the top female bowler was Taylor Vaughn.
The Langston-Gray Bowling Center on Shotwell Street, the center for youth bowlers in Decatur County, is featuring a special each Wednesday from 9:30 a .m. to 10 p.m.
Participants can bowl for just $1 a game and shoes can also be rented for just $1. On other days during the week, bowling is $3 a game before 5 p.m. and $4 a game after 5 p.m. on weekends. Shoe rental is $2.50.
The cost is $4 per game on weekends. Lanes can be rented on the first and third Sundays for $12 an hour and cosmic bowling from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday nights is $5 per game. There are also $1 per game discount specials Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bowling center birthday parties are also available. The cost is $70 per lane and it includes shoes, two hours of bowling, a large pizza and soft drinks. School groups can bowl for $3.50 a game. Church groups of 14 or more can bowl for $3.50 a game, also.
Church cosmic bowling is available for 14 or more for $4 a game. Also, locks-ins can rent the house for two hours of bowling and shoes after hours.
There is also a cosmic special for $12.50 per person with shoes included with a minimum of four people per lane. There will also be mixed adults bowling at 7 p.m. and Tuesday night adults and youth bowling at 7 p.m.
