Two convicted felons were arrested Friday night after complaints that they were in possession of marijuana at the Western Motel at 1925 E. Shotwell St.

Malcolm Harvey, 27, and Zitavious Strawder, 30, both received multiple charges including possession of firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Bainbridge Public Safety investigators made contact with the suspects and found two pistols, marijuana packaged for sale, digital scales and MDMA, known by its street name “Molly,” Investigator Chip Nix said.

Harvey was charged with three separate offenses, and Strawder was charged with four, as he was in possession of the MDMA, Nix said.

Both suspects admitted to possession of the marijuana and firearms, but denied that they intended to sale the marijuana.
