Bainbridge Public Safety arrested two juvenile females Tuesday in relation to two entering auto incidents. 

Around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, BPS Officer Chris Prindle responded to an entering auto incident at a College Street residence. The residents stated that two vehicles appeared to have been rummaged through and a Vera Wang change purse, phone charger and set of keys were stolen.

Officer Prindle had escorted two juvenile females he witnessed in the area of the residence home just after 4 a.m. One of the juveniles had a car phone charger with her, according to the incident report.

Prindle interviewed the juveniles and found a phone charger, change purse, set of keys as well as a purse containing a pocket knife and two prescription pill bottles containing Hydroxyzine and Hydrocodone.

The purse, pocket knife and prescriptions were later reported stolen after another entering auto incident was reported on College Street.

Both juveniles were taken into custody for two counts of entering auto and one count of unruly child each. According to the incident report, one juvenile was also charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals after “she grabbed a small brown and white puppy by the neck and slammed it into the ground” as she was being taken into investigative custody.

The juveniles have since been released to their respective parents.

Other entering autos

Five other entering autos were reported between Tuesday and Wednesday in various locations including Mitchell Street, Lake Douglas Road, Cameron Street and two incidents on Carter Street. Three vehicles had their driver-side windows broken.

One victim reported a stolen car stereo, and another reported a stolen pistol. Multiple victims reported that their vehicles had been left unlocked at their residences.
