Coach Yvette Green’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats cross-country teams turned in solid efforts Saturday at the Americus-Sumter High School Panthers and Lady Panthers Invitational Meet.
Three Bearcats runners finished in the top 10. Brenden Greene was fifth with a time of 18:18, Bennett Enfinger was sixth with a time of 18:19 and Wright Cook was 10th with a time of 18:55.
The top five runners scoring for the Bearcats were Greene, Enfinger, Cook, David Brock and Taylor Colon.
The top five Lady Cats runners were Camry Fillingame, Aida Diaz, Aileen Mejia, Madison Wiggins and Alaiya Schuyler.
Overall Lady Cats runners in the meet were Camry Fillingame, who was fifth with a time of 24:49 and Aida Diaz, who was eighth with a time of 25:10.
Next Saturday, the Bearcats and Lady Cats will travel to Thomas County to compete in the Thomas County High School Yellow Jackets Invitatonal Meet at Greenwood Plantation. The Bearcats and Lady Cats will host the Region 1-AAAA Meet Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Bainbridge High School track.
