Miss Hawthorne and Mr. Myers to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Randall Hawthorne, of Cairo, are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Pearce Hawthorne to Matthew Todd Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Andrew Myers of Marietta, Georgia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Carlyle Cloud of Climax and Mrs. Martha Pearce Hawthorn of Cairo and the late Mr. Roy Gwinnett Hawthorn.

Miss Hawthorne is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and a 2011 graduate of Valdosta State University in the field of Business Management and Marketing. Miss Hawthorne is currently a sales associate with State Farm Insurance in Decatur.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Andrew Myers Sr. of Columbia, South Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gilliam of Centerville, Tennessee.

Mr. Myers is a graduate of Sprayberry High School in Marietta and holds an International Affairs degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Myers is the co-owner and managing partner of Southeast Insurance Brokers of Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for April 25 at Cairo First United Methodist Church with the reception following at the Climax Depot.
