Bainbridge Public Safety is searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon.
Around 4 p.m. Friday, several rounds were fired on the 1,000 block of Water Street, and a man was shot. He was pronounced dead at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital, said BPS investigator Captain Mark Esquivel.
As of press time, BPS has not released details on the victim.
BPS has named a person of interest in the shooting as Caliah Burns, 19, of Bainbridge.
Esquivel said that there were likely witnesses and asks that anyone with information contact Major Robert Humphrey with the Criminal Investigation Division at 229-515-0973.
“We hope they can come forward and help us out,” Esquivel said.
