Bainbridge Public Safety is still investigating broken store and vehicle windows after more were reported this week.

Jagged Edge Salon at 320 E. Water St. had another window broken this weekend. According to the incident report, an officer patrolling the area around 2:30 a.m. Monday saw that a front window was broken.

Last week, Jagged Edge Salon, the Meat House at 100 E. Louise St., the Zip Trip at 1006 E. River Road and the Bean Cafe at 101 E. Water St. all reported having windows or doors broken. A vehicle located at the intersection of Broad and Jackson Streets also reported a broken window.

“We’re thinking it was probably a revolver, but we haven’t been able to find any of the projectiles,” said Bainbridge Public Safety investigator Chris Jordan. “That’s not uncommon, especially with a low-caliber handgun.”

Jordan said that there are currently no leads, but that security video footage may help identify a vehicle.

The Bean Café owner Lee Tennyson replaced his large, front window Tuesday afternoon and said he’s keeping a sense of humor about the incident.

“It’s a shame,” Tennyson said. “It’s just a disregard for other people’s property.”

Jagged Edge Salon owner Amanda Inlow said that she was very frustrated with the incident and a second broken window just after replacing one.

“Maybe the coffee was bitter one morning, and then they didn’t like their haircut and got some meat not up to their standards,” Tennyson joked. “There’s a reason for everything. I don’t have to like it.”

Tennyson said that he felt it was random until the Jagged Edge reported another broken window.

Jordan said that there’s little people could do to prevent such incidents but that security cameras could help with the investigation process.

“I’d like to encourage all the business owners to get video cameras, because that’s how we’ll eventually solve this case,” Jordan said.
