Bainbridge High School Bearcat right-handed pitcher Tyler Braswell signed a baseball scholarship Monday with coach Jon Copeland’s Trinity Baptist College Eagles of Jacksonville, Florida.
Looking on as he signed in the Bainbridge High School gymnasium hospitality room were his family, school officials and coaches.
Bearcats coach Brian McCorkle said Braswell was a very dedicated player who worked hard on the mound every time out and fielded his position well.
“With Tyler’s work ethic and dedication, I know he will be an asset to coach Copeland and his program at Trinity Baptist,” McCorkle said. “He is a great competitor. I look forward to hearing some good things about him down there in Jacksonville. I always enjoy seeing kids get the opportunity to continue their baseball careers at the college level.”
Trinity Baptist College sports teams compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association. They also compete against teams in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics NAIA.
