Julia Woodard Stewart, 97, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Bainbridge Health Care.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jean Watson officiating. Interment followed at Oak City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the chapel immediately following the service.

Mrs. Stewart was born May 30, 1917 in Decatur, AL, the daughter of Thomas Betts Woodard and Leah Lyle Woodard. She was a graduate of Decatur High School, Class of 1935 and North Alabama Business College. Mrs. Stewart worked as a secretary and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, J. Farley Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Opelika, AL, W. David Stewart of Clio, AL and T. Julian Stewart and his wife, Deborah, of Panama City, FL; her sister, Leah Woodard Hughes of Decatur, AL; her 7 grandchildren; and her 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Farley Stewart.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of services.
