While many in the small town of Climax celebrated the Memorial Day weekend honoring our Veterans with family gatherings and Bar-B-Ques. Many such as Lloyd and Myra Seals of Antioch Church Road honored our Veterans as well as placing emphasis on the love of family with several of Lloyd’s children coming for a visit during the weekend.
Lloyd’s daughter Kathy Jewell James, and granddaughter Nicole Sanders with grandchildren Dylan Sanders, Kaya James, and Jacob Sanders, made the trip first coming through earlier in the week on their way to granddaughter Destany James High School graduation from Eaugallie High School in Melbourne, Fla. They returned on Saturday along with Destany to join Kathy Jewell’s brother Daniel Seals and wife Sharon and three of their grandchildren, Kason Seals, Skylar Seals, and Cadin Burcham. Myra’s daughter Dawn Harrison also came on Saturday to visit.
During the visit Lloyd and Myra took the group to Wakulla Springs for a day of fun and play. Upon arriving they found the parking spaces were all full and they could not find any place to park. With disappointed children they had to leave without riding the glass bottom boats or seeing any wildlife, or swimming in the cold water of Wakulla Springs. Myra said she had never seen the park so full; however, it was a holiday weekend.
Lloyd said he was so glad he had this visit with two of his children and grandchildren, especially since it had been several years since his son Daniel had been for a visit, although Lloyd and Myra had been to visit them in Mississippi. Two of his children were unable to come, Lisa Downs and family and Charles Seals and family.
Folks from Climax extend a big welcome and invitation to come again soon, maybe a trip during Swine Time would be fun!
