The Bainbridge High School Lady Cats dropped a 36-26 decision to the Colquitt County High School Lady Packers Tuesday in Moultrie.
The Lady Cats, who defeated the Lady Packers 56-49 Tuesday, Dec.1, in Bainbridge, took a 3-1 record into a Friday night game against the Westover High School Lady Patriots in Albany. They will host the Worth County Lady Rams tonight.
Nadia Marshall led the Lady Cats Tuesday with 11 points. She was followed by Tytianna Roseborough and Asia Gordon with 7 apiece.
The Lady Packers put two players in double figures. Zaravia Downs had a game high 19 and Diamond Hall had 11.
Lady Cats coach Kelvin Cochran said his team got some good looks at the basket Tuesday, but the shots just were not falling in.
“We had several shots rim out and missed some free throws but those things are going to happen,” coach Cochran said. “I like our strong hustle and desire. Nadia Marshall saw a lot of playing time last season and she consistently hits in double figures.
Cochran added, “Give Colquitt County credit. Their defense was strong Tuesday night. We moved the ball around much better when we beat them in Bainbridge.”
