Lady Cats show strong effort to close seventh grade season

The Bainbridge Middle School seventh grade Lady Cats basketball team dropped a 38-12 Tuesday road decision to the Thomas County Central Middle School seventh grade Lady Yellow Jackets.
Tyliah McGriff led the Lady Cats in scoring with 6 points. Carmen Fillingame, who has been a solid Lady Cats top scorer most of the season, jammed her finger in the first quarter and missed the rest of the game.
“We did not play well, but we really missed Carmen Fillingame after she got injured,” Lady Cats coach Lisa Taylor said. “She is not only a strong scorer, but she is also my best hustler.”
Alivia Alston, Emerria Spear, Tyliah McGriff, AndreaPorter, Tania Register and Myteria Chandler each scored a point apiece.
