Bainbridge High School football coach Jeff Littleton was honored as the Atlanta Falcons AAAA Coach of the Year Sunday.
Littleton, along with other coaches from schools around Georgia, were recognized on the field during the Falcons vs. Panthers game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
“It’s a tribute to the players and their success this year,” Littleton said about his award.
Littleton coached the Bearcats to the first 10-0 win season with a Region Championship in the program’s history in his third season with the school.
He continued to coach Bainbridge to three playoff wins and saw his team compete in the State Class AAAA Semifinals game against Cartersville.
The Bearcats finished the season 13-1, breaking numerous player records throughout the year and drawing large crowds to both home and away games.
Littleton’s first year, the Bearcats went 4-6. Last year they were 6-5.
Other coaches honored alongside Littleton were Mikey Conn of Grayson High School, Kevin Whitley of Stockbridge High School, Jermaine Smith of Cedar Groves High School, Danny Brit of Benedictine and Jonathan Gess of Eagles Landing.
