The 17th annual Bainbridge Lions Club Charity Skeet Shoot For Sight will be Saturday, Feb. 6, beginning at 8 a.m. at Sharber Range on Sharber Road.
The entry fee is $250 for all four-person teams. Corporate sponsorships are also available. Entry fees should be submitted on or before Friday Feb. 1 to Bainbridge Lions Club in care of Brenda Howell, Post Office Box 324, Bainbridge, Georgia, 39819.
The Lewis Scoring Method will be used.
For shoot information, teams should contact Lion Tuffy Nussbaum, the skeet shoot chairman at (229) 248-3630 or (229) 254-1771.
Proceeds from the skeet shoot will assist the Lions Club in providing glasses, hearing aids and making operations available to needy individuals.
Last year’s 16th annual Soot For Sight was won by The First Port City Bank team of Britt Jones, Colby Boyett, Jake Jones and David Poitevint in the A Division and the Calvary Lions Club team of Arthur Tatum, Jason Robitallie, Geoffrey Lawrence and Mindy Butler in the B Division.
The individual winners last year were John Pelham in the A Division and Jeffrey Lee in the B Division.
Nussbaum pointed out that the annual skeet shoot is the Lions Clubs biggest moneymakers each year. We will start at 9 a.m. and coffee and refreshments will be available. Trophies will be awarded to winning team members and winning individual shooters.
“We always have a lot of good fun and fellowship,” Nussbaum said. “Volunteer youngsters throw the skeet for us.”“To have a project like the sheet shoot be so successful for so many years is a credit to our Lions members.”
