Miss Smith to wed Mr. Rathel

Ms. Maureen Lumpkin Smith of Blakely and Mr. Curtis Bryan Smith III of Hilton are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsey Hanna Smith to Caleb Bradford Rathel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rathel of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James Hoyt Lumpkin Sr., of Cuthbert, Ga. and the late Emily Hanna Riley and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Bryan Smith II of Hilton, Ga.

Miss Smith was a 2015 honor graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy. She presently attends Darton College pursuing a degree in nursing.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. O.C. Gressett of Chunky, Mississippi and Ms. Margarett Gressett of Bainbridge and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lee Rathel of Bainbridge.

Mr. Rathel was a 2015 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy. He is currently serving in the United States Air Force.

The 2 p.m. wedding is planned for April 23 at Lumpkin Farm, 1229 Lower Shellman Road, Cuthbert, Ga.  All friends and relatives are invited.
