Wanda Renee Moore, 37, was arrested by Bainbridge Public Safety and charged with trafficking cocaine last Friday around 10:30 a.m.
BPS Investigator Chris Jordan said Moore had 38 grams in her possession when he, along with investigators Chip Nix, Larry Funderburke, Mark Esquivel and patrol officers Jason Barlow and Leroy Akins executed a no-knock search warrant on her home.
The investigators and officers found several hundred dollars and small baggies of the drug inside Moore’s home.
“There’s a large cocaine problem in Bainbridge,” Jordan said. “We are trying to lessen it every way we can. Any help from anybody in the community is welcome.”
BPS is also executing a search warrant for Keith Gaines in relation to the arrest of Moore. Jordan asked anybody that has tips on his whereabouts to call (229) 248-2038 or submit an anonymous crime tip at bainbridgecity.com.
Any amount of cocaine possession is a felony, however, anything less than an ounce is a Possession of Cocaine charge. The larger Trafficking Cocaine charge is given when the perpetrator is carrying more than an ounce.
