Survivors include his wife, Betty Harrell; his children, Brian Harrell and his wife, Missy, of Vada, Ga. and Amanda Harrell of Climax, Ga; his siblings; J. P. Harrell and Johnny Harrell both of Bainbridge, Dorothy Murkerson of Reynoldsville, Ga., Janice Lashley of Havana, Fla., Bessie Cox and Betty Dawson both of Tallahassee, Fla.; his grandchildren, Austin Harrell, Grayson Shepard, Taylor Hodnett, Cody Singleton, and Harli Warren; and his great-granchild, Braylin Warren. In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Harrell, and his grandson, Tanner Shepard.
