Ronnie Aaron Parrish was arrested by Bainbridge Public Safety Thursday morning at 9:51 a.m. in a hotel room of America’s Best Value Inn for possession of methamphetamine.
BPS investigator Chip Nix received a tip that Parrish was in a room at the hotel on Shotwell Street with two other operatives. Upon arriving on scene, Nix and other BPS officers discovered drug paraphernalia throughout the room.
After searching Parrish’s car, Nix found more drug paraphernalia and a quantity of crystal meth. Parrish was arrested on scene.
This is the first charge of possession of meth Parrish has received. The two individuals with Parrish in the hotel room were not arrested or charged.
Nix said Decatur County has seen an influx of meth since the early 2000s, starting out in smaller “mom and pop labs” and growing to the point of crystal meth being brought into the county from other states.
