Santrella Smith and Larry Thomas to wed
Santrella Smith, daughter of Mrs. Bronique Smith and Mr. Roderick Cabble of Montgomery, Alabama, is announcing her engagement to Mr. Larry Thomas of Montgomery, formerly of Bainbridge, Georgia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Annie Daniels and the late Mr. Jobie Banks of Montgomery. She graduated from Carver Senior High School in 2006. Ms. Smith is currently involved in her career with the Alabama Department of Corrections as a correction officer with Julia Tutwiler Women’s Prison in Montgomery.
The groom-to-be is the son of the Rev. John and Willa Thomas, the grandson of the late Mrs. Ada Frazier and Mrs. Goldie Moore. He is a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1999, where he served as drum major for the high school during his sophomore through senior year. He received a music scholarship to attend Troy State University, in Alabama, and graduated in 2005 with his B.S. degree in Instrumental Music. He went on to attend Montgomery Police Academy and graduated October 2005. He worked for Troy State University Police Department for five years, reaching the rank of sergeant. He is currently employed with the Montgomery Police Department, with the rank of Corporal, and assigned to the Training and Recruiting Bureau of Montgomery.
The wedding and reception will be held September 17 at the Wetumpka Civic Center, Wetumpka, Alabama. Invitations have been sent.
