A structure fire was reported Monday morning at Rathel’s Scrap yard on Highway 27. The owner of the scrap yard noticed the smoke around 9 A.M. and placed the call to 911. Decatur County Fire Department was dispatched to fight the fire, they arrived to find a tire fire that had spread to engulf the shed it was close to. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
