Poitevint named COO at SW Ga. Farm Credit

Southwest Georgia Farm Credit announced today that Paxton W. Poitevint has been named Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Poitevint, who joined the Association in 2005, most recently served as Chief Relationship Manager and was responsible for the Association’s business development efforts. In his new role, Mr. Poitevint will manage the daily operations of the organization.
“Since joining Farm Credit, Paxton has managed several functions within the organization and has proven to be a strong manager and leader,” said Richard S. Monson, Chief Executive Officer. “Paxton always considers our member-borrowers’ needs first, and recognizes the important role Farm Credit plays in offering a competitive source of credit in the marketplace.”
Poitevint began his career at Farm Credit as Director of Marketing. From there, he has served the Association as Capital Markets Relationship Manager and Director of Special Assets Management. Poitevint is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
