BPS arrests two drug dealers in two days

Bainbridge Public Safety took two methamphetamine dealers off the street this past week by executing search warrants on the dealers.
The first arrest was 38 year-old Willie Murphy who was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during commission of, attempt to commit a crime.
“5:25 p.m. Wednesday we executed a search warrant at 408 Charles St. and it was the home of Willie Murphy Jr.,” said BPS Investigator Chip Nix. “During the search we found a Glock pistol, .40 caliber, with high capacity magazines loaded in a drawer with a large quantity of crystal meth and a large quantity of marijuana, some digital scales, and some other drug paraphernalia.”
The next day, Thursday, Jan. 26, BPS obtained information on another possible drug dealer, 32 year-old Roxana Knechtel. BPS was made aware of Knechtel being in possession of narcotics, but not specifically one type. According to Nix, BPS was alerted that she had methamphetamine and ecstasy.
Knechtel was spotted at Fred’s on Shotwell St., was approached and promptly searched. BPS officers found several bags of packaged methamphetamine, ecstasy pills and hydrocodone pills on Knechtel. She was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone and possession of hydrocodone.
