Bearcats named Basketball All-Region

Bainbridge High School basketball players Nadia Marshall and Milton Gayle were named to the Region 1-AAAAA first teams basketball teams. Marshall led the Lady Cats in scoring with 20.2 points a game. She also led the team in rebounds with 10.6 a game and steals with 3.1 per game.
Gayle was the leading scorer for the Bearcats with an average of 13.6 points per game. He also led the team with 2.7 assists per game and was second with an average of 4 rebounds per game.
Tytianna Roseborough and Maleke Lurry was named second team all-region. Roseborough averaged 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Lady Cats. Lurry served as the Bearcats’ main presence in the paint and he finished second on the team with 9.4 points per game. He also averaged a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game.
Lady Cats and Bearcat 3-point specialists Tyra Smart and Jeremiah Davis were each named honorable mention all-region for the season. Smart averaged 7.6 points per game and Davis averaged 6.3.
