Tom Smith, a resident of central Florida, is the owner and pilot of an historic BT-15 pilot training aircraft. Tom has flown this aircraft into Bainbridge several times in the past. He plans to “fly in” again to Bainbridge in order to be here on Saturday, August 19 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the delivery of his BT-15 to what was then the Bainbridge Army Air Field.

Tom and the plane will be at the airport terminal renovated WWII hangar for display, and to greet the public and answer questions about his aircraft.

Col. Gary Breedlove has said of Tom and the plane, “I do not believe there is another airport in America that has a renovated WWII hangar with a WWII trainer that was probably “hangared” there and will be back in Bainbridge on August 19th.”
