Juanita Glover Dodson, 90, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018.

The memorial service will be held at 2:0 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiating.  Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Juanita Glover was born February 11, 1927, in Bainbridge, the daughter of Roy Roland Glover  and Mary Elma Cumbie Glover. She graduated from Bainbridge High School, Class of 1945. Juanita married Hubert C. Dodson and was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church.

Juanita worked as a hairdresser, beginning as a teenager and working until she was 72. She started her own salon in 1961, where she fixed many a head a hair during her 56 year career. Juanita was crafty and she loved pretty things. She had an eye for sparkle and always saw the potential in ordinary things. Family was top priority and she loved her dogs like they were her children.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Hubert C. Dodson; her children, Kenneth Dodson and his wife, Linda, and Carolyn D. Reynolds and her husband, Roy, all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Brian & Teresa Dodson, Kevin Dodson & Rhonda Manley, Laci & Danny Moore and Colby Dodson; her great-grandchildren, Reese Dodson, Bowen Dodson, Ray Dodson, Chloe Dodson, Quinn Moore, Chase Harrison, Devin Harrison and Justin Harrison. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Rufus I. Dodson, and her brother, Kedrick Glover.
