Bearcat baseball beats Tift Co. 7-6

A walk-off single led Bainbridge past Tift County 7-6 on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with Bainbridge batting in the bottom of the seventh when Ivan Velasquez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Tift County scored five runs in the second inning, but the Bearcats still managed to pull out the victory. Ben Brock, Jack Lambert, and Will Weeks each had RBIs in the big inning.
Tift County opened up scoring in the second inning, when Brock singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Bainbridge put up three runs in the sixth inning. It’s big inning was driven by a single by Caleb Boutwell and a double by Will Kelley.
Nick Barber pitched Bainbridge victory. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two and walking zero.
Keenan Webb took the loss for Tift County. He allowed zero runs on one hit and walked zero.
Dalton Harrell started the game for Bainbridge. He went six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Joseph Pittman started the game for Tift County. He went one inning, allowing zero runs on one hit and walking one.
Bainbridge racked up 11 hits. Kelley, Walt Burrell, Boutwell, and Harrell each racked up multiple hits for Bainbridge. Harrell, Boutwell, Burrell, and Kelley each collected two hits to lead Bainbridge.
Tift County tallied eight hits. Webb and Mason Avant each collected multiple hits for Tift County.
