Red Cross opens shelters across Georgia

Six Red Cross shelters across Georgia harbored 372 residents overnight, said Gov. Nathan Deal in an update Thursday morning, and more shelters will be opening as needed.
Shelters currently listed open within the Red Cross app are:
- New Covenant Church in Thomasville
- Central Square Complex in Douglas
- Shirley B. Winston Recreation Center in Columbus
- Jefferson Recreation Department in Louisville
- Blythe Area Recreation Center in Blythe
Havana Middle School and East Gadsden High School are also open nearby in Florida.
