The Bearcat and Lady Cat basketball teams had a strong weekend against regional rivals at the Bainbridge High School Gym.

Both the boys and girls teams beat Thomas County Central Saturday night. The Bearcats (4-6) won 59-55 and the Lady Cats (4-6) won 59-51.

Last Friday, the Bainbridge Bearcats dropped a tight game to the Thomasville Bulldogs 87-84. The Lady Cats won their game against the Lady Bulldogs 39-37.

The Bearcats and Lady Cats played games at Early County Tuesday night and will play Worth County this Friday at home.

Bainbridge will return this Saturday at home to play Lowndes before taking a week-long break.

The Bearcats and Lady Cats will be back in action to take on Coffee on Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Vareen Rehabilitation Center Shoot-out.
