Life Church invites all to Black History Month celebration Sunday
Published 3:44 pm Friday, February 22, 2019
Pastor Mark Wilkerson and Life Church of Bainbridge will celebrate Black History Month this Sunday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m.
The celebration will honor five retired educators who taught in the Decatur County School System for more than 70 years. These educators are living legends as they have stood the test of time, educating thousands of students throughout their careers. From Church and Community Schools to the integration of the public school systems in Georgia, these pioneers of education blazed a path for social change and equality.
We salute these educators in black excellence: Mrs. Ollie Mackey, Mrs. Edna Bonner, Mr. Luther Conyers, Mrs. Lina Hitchcock, and Mrs. Betty Jackson.
Come One, Come All and celebrate at the Life Church Of Bainbridge at 609 Paulette Street (In the Pear Arches – Behind Stone’s Hardware), Bainbridge.
For more information call (850) 459-1769, Pastor Mark and Lady Faye Wilkerson, senior pastors.
