Last week, Bainbridge BassCats Gabe Dunaway, Hunter Davis, Jackson Conley and Brunson Fain fished the FLW Nationals on Pickwick Lake.
It was a tough week of fishing, but the BassCats represented Bainbridge and Georgia well at the tournament. Dunaway and Davis took 138th place with a four-day total of 9 pounds, 14 ounces.
Northlake Christian High School’s Christopher Capdeboscq and Sam Acosta weighed 9 pounds, 7 ounces (three fish) on the final day to win the High School Fishing National Championship on Pickwick Lake. With a three-day total weight of 35-12, Capdeboscq and Acosta had just a 1-ounce margin over the second-place team of Colin McCullough and Justin Hamlin who tallied 35-11 for Cedar Bluff High School. For the win, each angler won a four-year $40,000 scholarship to Kentucky Christian University.
Also fishing last week were Reece Conley and Ashton Aldridge, Cuyler Duke and his partner Natalie Hardwin and Gage Sellars with his partner Brent Johns at the FLW Worlds on Pickwick Lake.
Congratulations to the Bainbridge BassCats for competing and representing their community well on the biggest stage.
