The Decatur County Artists’ Guild members are showing their creations at the Gilbert H. Gragg library throughout the month of October.
Thirteen local artists are showing 33 pieces of art in oil, acrylics, watercolors and photography. One new member, Misty Taylor, is exhibiting her work for the first time.
The show also contains a memorial of three pieces of art from Basil Lucas, a beloved member of the Artists’ Guild as well as a local playwright and member of the Bainbridge Little Theatre.
All of the pieces of work have varying themes and are a testimony to the growing number of artists in Decatur County. One particular painting of interest is the oil rendering of the ‘old goat man’ by Carol Ratliff. It may evoke some memories from the past.
The exhibit will continue to be on display during regular hours of the Library throughout all of October.
