Bainbridge basketball goes 1-1 this week

Bainbridge basketball played Colquitt County and Thomasville this week, with the Bearcats defeating the Packers 44-41 and losing to the Bulldogs 57-55. The Lady Cats fell to the Lady Packers 41-28 but bounced back against the Lady Bulldogs 52-44.
Against Thomasville, Mark Taylor scored 12 points, Tyrell Bryant put up 11 points and Deyon Bouie added 10 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Dewayne Kyles with 9 points, Alvanni Williams with 5 points, TJ Tarver with 4 points, Dorian Cooper with 3 points and Dylun Worlds with 1 point.
The Bearcats beat Colquitt County on a buzzer beater from the corner. In double figures for the Bearcats was TJ Tarver with 19 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Dorian Cooper with 8 points, Dewayne Kyles, Alvanni Williams and Mark Taylor with 4 points each, Jeremiah McClain with 3 points and Deyon Bouie with 2 points.
In the Lady Cats’ win over Thomasville, India Parris had 13 points and Denise Chappell scored 10 points. Other scorers for the Lady Cats were Destiny Turner, Taralyn Brown and Detavia Salter with 6 points each, Anndrea Porter with 4 points, Angel Peterson with 3 points and Kirston Nobles and Ashanta Peterson with 2 points each.
In double figures for the Lady Cats against Colquitt County was Detavia Salter with 12 points. Other scorers for the Lady Cats were Kirston Noble with 8 points, Denise Chappell with 4 points and India Paris and Taralyn Brown with 2 points each.
Bainbridge travels to Seminole County Saturday night and will host Americus-Sumter on Friday, Nov. 29. The girls tip off at 6 p.m. and the boys tip off at 7:30 p.m.
