We at The Post-Searchlight hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, with plenty of time spent among family, friends and, of course, delicious food.
As you enjoy your leftovers going into the weekend (or perhaps you’re already out—in that case, well done!), please keep in mind the safety of you, your loved ones and your community this holiday season. Not only is it the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the most dangerous.
Crime rates tend to spike as shoppers leave gifts in their vehicles or outside their front doors from mail delivery. Poorly maintained and dry Christmas trees, open candles and faulty lighting systems can turn a happy holiday into a tragic one. The only Christmas lights that should be burning this season are the ones safely and correctly hanging around your home and tree.
We will have an article in an upcoming edition of The Post-Searchlight detailing all the ways you and your family can ensure a safe and happy holiday season.
With that said, and Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, there’s only one thing left to say: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
