Bearcat basketball suffers loss to Americus- Sumter

The Bainbridge Bearcat (3-2) basketball team dropped a non-region game to Americus-Sumter at home last Friday night, losing 57-45 in a game that was closer at times than the final score indicates.
Bainbridge trailed 17-11 after the first quarter and only 24-20 at halftime. The Panthers had a huge third quarter, adding 19 to the board and gaining a 43-32 lead. Bainbridge was neck-and-neck with Americus-Sumter in the fourth quarter, but only scored 13 points to the Panthers’ 14.
In double figures for the Bearcats were Dewayne Kyles and Deyon Bouie, both with 10 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Tyrell Bryant and Dorian Cooper with 7 points each, TJ Tarver with 5 points, Mark Taylor with 4 points and Alvanni Williams with 2 points.
On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Bearcats beat Seminole County 71-60.
A large number of Bainbridge players were in the scoring column against the Indians. In double figures were KJ Cochran and Dorian Cooper with 15 points each and TJ Tarver with 10 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Alvanni Williams with 9 points, Deyon Bouie with 7 points, Mark Taylor with 5 points, Dewayne Kyles and Tyrell Bryant with 4 points each and Dylun Worlds with 2 points.
Bainbridge played at home against Early County Tuesday and hosts Harris County this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
