The Bainbridge High School SwimCats and Lady SwimCats won the Bearcat Winter Swim Meet on Friday, December 6th. Many Personal Records were set as well Coaches Chambers, Conner, and Durham are very proud of every swimmer and would like to extend a special thanks to the YMCA who ensured the meet run smoothly.

For the SwimCats, the following individuals scored points: Austin Aldridge placed third in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 backstroke, and Joe Emmons placed second in the 200 freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle, Jonathan Farrington placed fourth in the 500 freestyle, Josh Fillingame placed second in the 200 I.M and forth in the 100 butterfly, Blake Lowe placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and third in the 500 freestyle, Hayden Martin placed third in the 100 breastroke, Brenden Mitchell placed third in the 100 freestyle, Griffin Perkins placed third in the 200 I.M. and third in the 100 butterfly, and Dax Willis placed first in the 100 backstroke and second in the 100 breaststroke.
In relays, the 200 medley relay team of Dax Willis, Hayden Martin, Griffin Perkins, and Austin Aldridge placed first. In the 200 freestyle relay, the A team of Blake Lowe, Dax Willis, Griffin Perkins and Austin Aldridge placed second and the B relay of Hayden Martin, Brenden Mitchell, Josh Fillingame, and Joe Emmons placed third. In the 400 freestyle relay, the A relay of Joe Emmons, Hayden Martin, Josh Fillingame, and Blake Lowe placed second and the B relay of Brenden Mitchell, Garrett Sigman, Jonathan Farrington, and Tom Emmons placed fourth.

For the Lady SwimCats, the following individuals scored points: Sandy Baker placed fourth in the 100 butterfly and second in the 100 backstroke, Rylan Bland placed fifth in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle, Sarah Grace Ferrell placed eighth in the 50 freestyle, Maloree Inlow placed third in the 200 I.M. and third in the 100 breaststroke, Madison Mills placed third in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle, Ramsey Mathews placed first in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 100 breaststroke, Paige Overman placed fourth in the 500 freestyle, Alex Riche placed fifth in the 100 butterfly, and Madalyn Yancey place fourth in the 200 freestyle.

In the 200 medley relay, the A team of Ramsey Mathews, Paige Overman, Sandy Baker, and Madison Mills placed second, and the B team of SarahGrace Ferrell, Maloree Inlow, Alex Riche, and Madalyn Yancey placed third. In the 200 free relay, the A team of Ramsey Mathews, Paige Overman, Sandy Baker, and Madison Mills placed third, and the B team of Maloree Inlow, Jaycee Maxwell, Madalyn Yancey, and Alex Riche placed forth. In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Madalyn Yancey, Rylan Bland, SarahGrace Ferrell, and Alex Riche placed first.

The SwimCats’ next meet is Dec. 18 in Thomasville.
