Mr. Henry Ronald (Ronny) Starling, age 70, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020, in Tallahassee, Florida. Services for Mr. Starling will be held at 11a.m. Friday, January 24, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Harrell, Rev. Scott Singletary, and Rev. Harrell Hemingway will officiate. Jackson Starling, Michael Starling, Matthew Starling, Mayo Livingston, Townsend Livingston, Nick Green, and Matthew Whitaker will serve as pallbearers. Ronny Starling will be interred in Oak City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Henry Ronald Starling was born April 24, 1949 in Abbeville, Alabama, to Jack A. Starling, Sr. and Doris Townsend Starling. He married the love of his life, Patricia Sullivan Starling, on September 6, 1969. He and Patricia were blessed to share 50 years together. Ronny was a hard worker. He proudly served in the National Guard. A member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Ronny was a dedicated man of God. He was an ordained minister of the Gospel. He served as a deacon at his church and taught Sunday School for 25-plus years. Ronny had a heart for missions. A devoted and loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronny deeply loved each member of his family. Ronny was an avid Alabama fan. ROLL TIDE!

Ronny Starling is survived by his wife, Patricia Sullivan Starling of Climax, Georgia; sons, Derek Starling and wife, Michelle of Quincy, Florida and Joshua Starling and wife, Kari of Tallahassee; siblings, Jackie Starling and wife, Sylvia of Headland, Alabama, Mike Starling of Newville, Alabama, and Kay Livingston of Cyrene, Georgia; grandchildren, Jordan Rios and Miguel, Elizabeth Green and Nick, Jackson Starling, Michael Starling, Makayla Starling, Nora Starling, and Luke Starling; great-grandchildren, Haddie, Analiese, Jonathan, and Lydia; nephews, Matthew Starling, Townsend Livingston, and Mayo Livingston; and sister-in-law, Carolyn S. Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Starling.
