Lady Cat tennis beats Lady Bulldogs

The Bearcats and Lady Cats tennis teams faced off against the Thomasville Bulldogs on Thursday, where the Lady Cats won 5-0.
Lady Cats number one singles player, Mikey Harrell won her first set 6-2, before going on to win her second set 6-1.
Number two singles player, Gracie Surratt shut out her opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
“Gracie showed out with that 0 &0 win,” Coach Amy Thomas said. “Her leadership on and off the courts is impressive.”
Finally, number three singles player, Ryland Bland took to the courts and beat her opponent, 6-1, 6-0.
Seeing the singles finish with nothing but wins, the doubles teams were on a mission to fight off the Bulldogs.
Number one doubles team, Kenzie Thomas and Piper Harrell took the first set in stride with a 6-0 win. They followed it up with 6-2 win in the second set.
Number two doubles team, Sarah Caroline Darley and Piper Loeffler finished off the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-2 win.
“Piper (Loeffler) stepped up with Anna Marie Hall out of town,” Thomas said.
Thomas was very proud of the team and the hard work they put in.
The Bearcats lost in a tough match 1-4, but Thomas noted how great of a team Thomasville boys are.
The teams will face off against Seminole County on Thursday, March 5, at home.
