Mrs. Geneva Bell Anderson Sykes, age 82, passed away Munday, March 8, 2021, at Bainbridge Health and Rehab. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021, Eldorendo Holiness Church, 964 Babcock Road, Miller County, Georgia. Pastor Rawleigh Furney, Rev. Clinton Fields, and Rev. Billy Adams will officiate. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. J. R. Singleton, Brandon Taylor, Mike Prindle, Roy Morris, Jason Johnson, Johnny Cook, and Randall Grubbs will serve as pallbearers.
In accordance with State of Georgia guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending should maintain the recommended safe social distancing and to wear protective masks.
Geneva Bell Anderson was born March 2, 1938 in Ohio. Her parents, Denver Anderson and Lillian Gertrude Patton Anderson, have preceded her in death. At 9 years old she first felt the call to minister. As she grew, she knew this was her life’s calling. She and her late husband, William Roman Sykes, served the Lord together for many years. Geneva was an ordained minister of the Church of God of
Prophecy. Geneva dearly loved her family and her church. She spent her time reading God’s Word.
Geneva Sykes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Roger and William (Billy) Sykes, daughter-in-law, Brenda Sykes, and brother, Frank Anderson. Her daughter, Roberta Reynolds, survives her and lives in Bainbridge, Georgia.
