Bank OZK (Nasdaq: OZK), has made a $75,000 contribution to Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. Bank OZK has contributed a total of $255,000 to Memorial Hospital and Manor since 2018.
“Bank OZK recognizes the dedicated and compassionate providers offering high quality medical services at Memorial Hospital and Manor. Access to outstanding healthcare is essential to our quality-of-life, and the pandemic has certainly amplified our reliance on our community healthcare resources. As a bank with strong roots in Bainbridge and Decatur County, Bank OZK is pleased to support Memorial Hospital and Manor with this contribution,” stated Jennifer Hayes, Regional Executive at Bank OZK.
Since 2018, Bank OZK has contributed more than $1.4 million through Georgia HEART, the statewide rural hospital organization expense tax credit program. Lawmakers enacted Georgia HEART to encourage taxpayers in Georgia to learn more about the financial and other challenges rural hospitals face and to contribute to improve their financial condition and patient offerings.
“The generous contribution of $75,000 from Bank OZK will go a long way in supporting our mission of providing high quality, cost-effective healthcare, and promote wellness throughout our community,” stated James Lambert, Memorial Hospital and Manor Chief Executive Officer. “Bank OZK’s donations of $255,000 over the past four years have allowed us to make investments in people, technology and programs for positive health outcomes in Bainbridge and our surrounding market,” Lambert added.
Bank OZK is contributing a total of $380,000 in 2021 to three rural Georgia Hospitals including Union General in Blairsville and Higgins General Hospital in Bremen. Bank OZK has 70 offices in Georgia, including one in Bainbridge.
