Graveside funeral services for Gary Wallace Croley, Sr., 72, of Whigham, Ga., were at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, Ga. Rev. Johnny Burdick, Rev. Jimmy Ausburn and Rev. Robert Crapps officiated. Mr. Croley passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga., on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Gary has gone to join his beloved wife, Sarah, that he loved, cherished and missed so much.

Pallbearers were Russ Fender, Chris Hand, Garyn Croley, Traye Croley, Chase Croley, Ric Croley, Ronnie Boyd and the employees of C&S Forestry.

Mr. Croley was born on October 14, 1948, in Thomasville, Ga., to the late Preston C. Croley and Mildred Gandy Croley. On August 11, 1964, he married Sarah Frances Folsom Croley, who preceded him in death on October 19, 2019. They were married for 55 years. Gary was the owner and operator of C & S Forestry in Whigham. He was an outdoorsman that loved to work in the woods and fish. Gary loved to read his Bible daily. He loved his family and being with his grandchildren and teaching them new things. He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham.

Survivors include: children, Carol C. Fender (Robert) of Douglas, Ga., Cheryl C. Black (Tony) of Whigham, Ga., Wally Croley (Heather) of Whigham, Ga., Wade Croley (Dehlia) of Climax, Ga.; grandchildren, Caroline F. Hand (Chris) of Douglas, Ga., Russ Fender (Caitlyn) of Douglas, Ga., Sarah Beth Black of Whigham, Ga., Taylor Black of Whigham, Ga., Chase Croley of Atlanta, Ga., Garyn Croley of Whigham, Ga., Traye Croley Whigham, Ga., Kendall Croley of Climax, Ga., Karlynn Croley of Climax, Ga., Kamryn Croley of Climax, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Ava Hand, Ace Hand, both of Douglas, Ga., Robert Fender, Hudson Fender, both of Douglas, Ga.; brother, Eric Croley (Elaine) of Metcalf, Ga., Danny Croley (Catherine) of Pavo, Ga.; sister, Patricia Richardson of Thomasville, Ga., Donna Avera of Wrens, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; and siblings, Alvin W. Croley and Diane Croley.
